DIAS and Switzerland Global Enterprise Support Swiss Drone Innovation at UMEX 2026

The Drone Industry Association Switzerland (DIAS) is pleased to announce its collaboration with Switzerland Global Enterprise (S-GE) in the context of international trade fair promotion, supporting the international visibility of the Swiss drone ecosystem.

DIAS organized a SWISS Pavilion at UMEX 2026 in Abu Dhabi — one of the world’s leading exhibitions for unmanned and autonomous systems. The initiative was supported by Switzerland Global Enterprise, drawing on its experience in SWISS Pavilion activities. The project was financially supported by the Trade Fair and Project Committee (TFPC).

Supporting Swiss Drone Innovation Internationally

Through this collaboration, S-GE supports DIAS’ commitment to strengthening the international presence of Swiss drone companies and showcasing Swiss technological excellence on a global stage. The collaboration builds on previous project related cooperation in the context of SWISS Pavilion activities at AUVSI Xponential 2022 and 2023.

“We are pleased to support DIAS in its commitment to strengthening the international visibility of the Swiss drone ecosystem and are impressed by how the association has developed over recent years,” says Bettina Thomas, Director Trade Fairs at Switzerland Global Enterprise.

“The SWISS Pavilion at UMEX 2026 was an important opportunity to showcase the strength and diversity of the Swiss drone ecosystem on an international stage. We are grateful for the support and expertise provided in the context of this initiative, which helped our members increase their international visibility and connect with relevant global stakeholders,” says Bart Salger, Secretary General of DIAS.

The SWISS Pavilion at UMEX 2026

UMEX (Unmanned Systems Exhibition & Conference) is widely recognised as a premier international platform for unmanned systems, robotics, and autonomous technologies, bringing together government stakeholders, industry leaders, and innovators from around the world.

The SWISS Pavilion at UMEX 2026 provided participating Swiss companies with a shared platform to:

  • Present their technologies and solutions to an international audience
  • Engage with potential partners, customers, and decision-makers
  • Strengthen Switzerland’s reputation as a hub for high-quality, responsible drone innovation

The Pavilion was very well received and enabled meaningful exchanges with international stakeholders across government, industry, and commercial sectors, reinforcing Switzerland’s strong position in the global drone ecosystem.

DIAS welcomes the opportunity to continue working with Switzerland Global Enterprise in the context of international trade fair promotion and market access. Beyond UMEX 2026, S-GE has also expressed its willingness to contribute expertise and knowhow related to international markets and internationalisation, connecting DIAS members with relevant regional and sector experts where appropriate.

UMEX 2026 marked an important milestone in strengthening the international visibility of Swiss drone innovation and fostering meaningful global connections.
