DIAS News: Celebrating a Member’s Major Milestone – Flybotix Secures Nearly USD 10 Million in Series A Extension

We’re thrilled to share – and celebrate – some truly outstanding news from within our DIAS community today. Lausanne-based robotics innovator Flybotix has just secured close to USD 10 million in a Series A extension round to accelerate its trailblazing drone-based inspection technology. This is a major accomplishment that positions them at the forefront of industrial safety and innovation.

Fueling the Future of Safe Inspections

On September 1, 2025, Flybotix announced the successful closing of a Series A extension financing, led by a prestigious technology-focused family office and supported by existing backers including Greeneering Invest AG. This funding injection marks a pivotal milestone in their mission to safeguard human lives and critical infrastructure.

The ASIO X — Revolutionizing Confined-Space Inspections

Launched in summer 2024, Flybotix’s flagship ASIO X drone is a second-generation, purpose-built system for inspecting confined and hazardous environments—think power plants, water systems, timber silos, and more. Featuring a patented dual-rotor design, the ASIO X offers:

  • Longest flight time available in its class
  • Enhanced payload capacity for robust performance
  • Fully integrated SaaS analytics platform for real-time insights and predictive detection of potential failures

Its current deployments span over 30 countries, supported by a dynamic distributor network and strategic partnerships with municipalities, utilities, and industrial leaders.

Backing from Key Supporters

“This financing represents a major milestone for Flybotix,” said CEO and Co-founder Samir Bouabdallah. He emphasized the significance of both new investor trust and continued backing from existing partners, noting that the capital will drive expansion, enhance ASIO capabilities, and deliver safer inspection solutions in indispensable industries.

Why This Matters

Confined-space inspections are among the most hazardous industrial tasks, with serious safety risks and exposure to confined hazards. The ASIO X allows these inspections to be:

  • Safer, eliminating human exposure to danger
  • More frequent, enabling timely safety checks
  • Smarter, thanks to actionable, data-driven insights

As infrastructure worldwide continues to age, timely and reliable inspections are more critical than ever. Flybotix’s technology is reshaping how the world approaches safety and maintenance—potentially preventing costly shutdowns or catastrophic failures.

What’s Next for Flybotix

With this Series A extension secured, Flybotix aims to:

  • Scale its commercial efforts globally
  • Accelerate product development and innovation
  • Grow its team to meet growing industrial demand

A Proud Moment for DIAS

We couldn’t be prouder to have Flybotix as part of the DIAS network. Their bold forward motion in closing this USD 10 million round underscores our collective strength and the incredible impact our members are making in the world.

Stay tuned for more updates on Flybotix as they propel forward—and continue being a shining example of innovation, safety, and Swiss engineering excellence.
