ZHAW Joins the DIAS Network — A Strategic Collaboration for Applied Innovation

We are delighted to announce that ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) is the newest institutional member of the DIAS community.
ZHAW is one of Switzerland’s leading universities of applied sciences. With campuses in Winterthur, Zurich and Wädenswil, it offers practice-oriented, science-based teaching, research and continuing education in areas such as engineering, health sciences, life sciences, management and law.
ZHAW has a strong focus on addressing societal challenges through sustainable development and digital transformation.
By joining DIAS, ZHAW will bring its applied research expertise, curriculum innovation and industry-sector partnerships into our collaborative network. For DIAS members and partners, this opens up new opportunities for joint projects, student engagement, knowledge exchange and access to the vibrant Swiss applied-science ecosystem.
Conversely, DIAS offers ZHAW an extended platform of global industry partners, drone-software innovation pathways and application use-cases in sectors such as inspection, logistics, agriculture and security. Together, we will explore how drone systems and software solutions can be integrated into real-world deployments, educational programmes and collaborative research initiatives.
We look forward to working with ZHAW’s faculty, researchers and students — harnessing their energy, expertise and networks — to accelerate innovation and impact. In the coming weeks we will publish further details of initial projects, working groups and joint pilot programmes.
Please join us in welcoming ZHAW to the DIAS network.
